MANDATE

The Department of History is the academic unit of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines that is mandated to:

1. produce historians, historiographers, researchers, instructors/professors, and social analysts who are expert in the different job-related skills of the discipline.
2. produce researches that will benefit the students, the academe, and other stakeholders.
3. promote a critical study of the past that serves as the identity of the people and the guiding light of the present.
4. conduct profound extension and outreach programs that will benefit the Filipino people.
